Aloe Vera has been used since biblical times as an ointment for burns, cuts, and rashes. However, heavy marketing in recent years has made this fantastic herb something of a “skin care cliché”. Aloe vera is not a miracle medicine. Nevertheless it contains enzymes with anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties and has been shown to reduce rashes and burns from shaving as well as to help control acne.
